I spotted this chair from across the room at Sunday’s flea market, and kind of gasped and rushed over to stroke it’s wooden arm and admire the retro plaid. I know it is technically ugly, but I think it is beautiful. It was for sale by a fellow named Kyle. He’s the guy behind Sit and Read Furniture.
“I have NO place to put it!” I lamented.
“Get rid of something else!” he said. “This chair is totally worth it.”
It kind of is.
A little steep at $425, though. (I know! You can sell hipsters Danish-modern plaid for just about ANYthing here in Brooklyn.) I’m keeping it in mind. How cute would it be to rock my organic-cotton clad cloth diapered babies in? (Eventually, people, don’t get excited.) And in the meantime, I can rock a dog or two.

I'd rather hve fixed up Bra, but the chair was really nice.

I totally got excited about the babies there! I read the paren tho:)I love the chair. I might rehop it tho bc I love doing that but it's awesome just how it is too. I'd love a cool contrasting pillow too!

I think something bright that picked up the yellow or orange and then had a funky pattern would be great!

I'd just like to note that as far as rocking babies goes, it kinda looks like that chair a too wide. In my (limited) baby-rocking experience, I've found that chairs which are narrow enough that you can rest your elbows on the arms while holding/rocking the baby are the easiest. If the chair is too wide, it becomes more difficult. But it looks pretty damn perfect for rocking a Tino (or a Leeloo or a Matty!). :]
