Pants on the Ground

What I love about American Idol is that almost everyone watches it. It’s ridiculous and obviously scripted, but it’s something to talk about with SO many people, and it’s fun.

The last episode featured “Pants on the Ground” guy. General Larry Platt is 62 (way over the 28 year old age limit), but they let him slip in anyway to sing his original song, “Pants on the Ground”, and this sparked a national phenomenon.

Here’s the original:

Right in the middle Simon says, “I have a horrible feeling that song could be a hit.” Well.

There’s already a tee shirt, and a ringtone, and a Facebook fan page. There are also a flurry of people covering it on YouTube – and I’m a sucker for cute boys with guitars. Enjoy, and happy weekend.

thanks to Chad for pointing this out.

  2. Have you seen Jimmy Fallon, as Neil Young, do “Pants on the Ground.” (I hope the embed works)
