Life List: Get to Number 100 On This List – Check!

Check it out you guys! I just added Life List item number 100! (It’s “Run naked through a field” – I was inspired the album cover of Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust from Sigur Ros… and I promise I won’t take pictures when I do).

This list item is a little corny and meta, but I knew I’d loose interest if there wasn’t a goal, so I added it as item number 73. This helped keep me in the groove of adding things as they popped into my head instead of “meaning to” and forgetting. (Know thyself!)

Now adding things is a habit, and a fun one at that.

Here’s to many years of accomplishing!

I’ve aded quite a few things to my list recently. I’ve gotten in the habit of writing them down on post its on my laptop to then add them officially to the running list on my blog. Adding them is fun because it helps me keep myself accountable.

I feel like I’ve got a few corny ones of even ones that aren’t “list list worthy” but I feel as if my life list is becoming a brain dump place to keep track of all those thing I want to do so I don’t forget. I can go to the list and have my memory refreshed. Before I visit a city or decide what to do on the weekend I always look back at my list to see if there is something on there I can take a crack at.

    Happy accomplishing!

What a crazy addition…but even better that you got the idea from an album cover by one of my favorite bands. You rock.

You’ve inspired me. I’ve started my own list now and am loving it. I used to come up with ideas of what I’d like to do and stress out because I always felt as though I had to take care of these goals/ideas straightaway lest I forget.

Having this little list actually calms me. Now I don’t have to think “What if I’m 80 and I suddenly remember that I never got around to scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef?”

Because clearly… these are my worries.
