The Orange Corduroy Pants

I’m currently doing Weight Watchers, and every week I blog a bit about what I’ve learned and experienced, and whether I’ve lost or gained weight for the week.

This is gonna be WAY less titillating than my previous post, but must be done. Weight Watchers. After my two-week hiccup where I gained and then maintained, I went balls to the wall and got myself back down to having lost an even ten pounds. Now, from here, I plan on going down next week. Fifteen is looming! I can see it!

I gathered all of my fall sweaters and pants out of storage at my Grandma’s house. She got subjected to entertained by a fashion show of stuff that fit from last year, or was too big (!) and had to go in the donation pile.

There was a major victory: my bright orange corduroy pants, which fit like a glove. Two years ago they were on “mega cheap clearance” and I loved the look of them, but J.Crew runs really small and when they arrived via UPS I was excited, then devastated. I remember standing in my living room being totally crushed, trying to make the zipper go up to no avail. For TWO YEARS I’ve wanted to wear these. And now I can.

“Look at my ass!” I crowed to my grandmother. “LOOK! AT! IT!”

I wiggled it for her.

“Very nice!” she said. “Woo hoo!”

My grandmother is the best.
