My name is Amber. I am twenty eight years old. I live in Brooklyn. I am married. I have three dogs.

This blog is about me and little stories from my life. I also really like finding beautiful things for sale online sharing them here. If you’d like to search all of theses things at once, search the “good things” tag or take a look at my Tumblr account called The Amber Sideshow. It’s pretty good inspiration for gift shopping, if I do say so myself. If you sell something beautiful, please do let me know.

I love dogs, robots, polka dots, photography, good beer, vintage cameras, cupcakes, flea markets, tangerines, Macbooks, Barack Obama, champagne, cookie jar collections, talking about feminism with my grandmother, indie films, girls who knit, coffee, expensive chocolate, sunny saturdays, rainy sundays, handmade quilts, balloons, family traditions, the colors orange red and yellow in a kitchen, men with beards, baking, blogging, carnivals and state fairs, throwing parties and folk rock.

Rob Blatt is my husband. Right here I wanted to write, “He is a really good husband”, but I think it is more accurate to say “He is a really good friend”.

Rob and I have a lot of fun together, and occasionally I get woozy from the level to which I love him. I hope you are, or eventually find yourself, as happy and as in love as I am. It is the ultimate.

I call this blog “the Amber Show” because of a conversation I had with Rob when we were still dating. (We’re both huge on analogies, by the way.) He said to me, “I want to be part of this, the Amber show. I want a lead role.” He got one. Obviously. (Oh, have you vomited in your mouth? I’m sorry.)

The dandelion logo is because I’m always wishing for something more; I’m big on self-improvement, and rocking the eff out of life.  And because, if a breeze catches me the right way, my hair looks similar to one.

I started a podcast called Hey Brooklyn which is about creative, interesting people who live and work here. New episodes are posted every Friday.

I love taking photos, and I post them on my Flickr page.

I tweet.

I rock out. Pandora is one of the best things to have happened to me on the internet.

This is something nice that someone called Alison said about me: “The Amber One”. It makes me happy.
