Ocarina of Time
I don’t get it, but it sure looks fun.
Happy weekend.
Googly Eyed Staring

“I think a raving sea monster could have attacked your wedding and you wouldn’t have noticed from all the GOOGLY EYE STARING you were doing!” – Jen
This week SO needs a fork in it.
I got a hurt hand, went to the doctor, got majorly sick, had a disaster with Hey Brooklyn that Rob is looking into, took the first of hopefully many photos of shelter dogs, went to a Yankees game (with Chris Cavs!), tasted guacamole at the Bell House, had a lovely interview, celebrated my second anniversary, and began working on an exciting new project which I’m going to share here on Monday.
Thank you for all for the input on my last name. It was one of those things where I said to Rob, “I don’t really know if I should hit publish on this thing.” I’m glad I did.
Happy weekend!
Matty Says Relax

I hope you get to do all of your very favorite things this weekend.
For Jen
Saturday is Jen’s birthday, so I dedicate this post to her and her bun-in-the-oven. It’s educational.
Happy weekend.
No Pants!
Tomorrow I am riding the subway in my underpants. I encourage you to join me. It’ll be cold, but fun. There will be pictures. Email me if you’re keen on joining. It won’t be the same with out you.
Happy Weekend!
Bra
You’re not supposed to feed stray cats, but I’ve never been overly concerned with what you are “supposed” to do.
He has a cozy cardboard box in my front entry way with an old towel in it, and he eats dog food.
“Can you make sure that my cat has food?” I asked Rob as he came in last night.
“Your cat? He’s not your cat.”
“He is SO my cat. I love him.”
“Oh, and I suppose you’ve named him, too.”
“Um… yeah. I have. So he’s mine. ‘Cause I named him!”
He raised an eyebrow. “What’s his name then?”
“Um…” I glanced at my shoulder; a strap was peeking out.
“His name is Bra.”
“Bra?”
“Yes. Bra. Bra the orange cat.”
Pug Faces
I’m bummed out. My dad hasn’t returned a phone call or email from me in months, I haven’t seen anyone in my extended family in ages and I have no idea what’s going on for Christmas. I feel so un-familyed, and I don’t know what to do. I always say, “When in doubt, do the friendliest thing.”, so I’m holding onto thin ribbons of optimism that plans are still gelling and we’ll be invited somewhere soon. But this is not what I pictured being grown up to look like.
Anyway, this cheered me up… pugs are cute! Happy weekend.
Fleet Foxes – White Winter Hymnal
This video was posted over at A Cup of Tea and a Wheat Penny, and I’ve visited her blog several times this week to hear the song, which almost sounds like something Jen and I would have listened to in high school, driving around in her blue Volvo. I like the animation of this video, too. It reminds me of 60′s television Christmas specials, which I like very much.
Happy weekend!
